A 5 day vacation and ....

I forgot my camera! I know what was I thinking. We were on our way to St. George and we got to about the I-70 turn-off and I looked at my hubby and said, "Crap, I forgot the camera!" He laughed... not so funny, I thought! SO I am truly sorry for the no picture post. (well almost)

We went to Mesquite for hubbies 10 year class reunion on friday and saturday. It was alot of fun. You know those small town parties. There were 98 students in his graduating class, only about 40 showed up. But when you know everyone and are related to half of them, you (I) learn many new and exciting things about my wonderful husband. We went to the Homecoming football game on friday night and then a wonderful breakfast the next morning and that night we had a very fun dinner with only couples... ya NO KIDS!!! That was awesome. We had so much fun, it got me really excited for mine next year!

Then on sunday hubby flew from SG to SLC to Chicago. Ya a lot of flying for him. So I stayed in SG with my parents till tuesday. It was alot of fun. On Monday night we went and saw Odyssey Dance Theatre's performance of

It was amazing! I had never seen it before! I loved it. Also a freaking cool part was that Matt Dorame from the top 20 of "So You Think You Can Dance" was a performer. If you know me you know that I have danced most of my life, love everything about dance, wish that I was still dancing and someday will start again, and am a freak when it comes to SYTYCD. I even went and saw them when they came on tour to SLC. SO when I saw him in the playbill I freaked out and I felt like a 13 year old again. There was also a girl in "Thriller" that almost made it to the top 20. It was between her and her best friend Katee. And Katee won. But Natalie (the friend), is amazing. Back to Matt...the TV did not do him justice! He is unbelievable! I could not belive it! My sister kept commenting on how amazing he was. With his height you wouldn't think he is as good as he is, but I was breathless watching him! So if you want to see him...you have to see him at Tuacahn in Ivins, UT. He is not performing in the SLC one. Sorry for you northern utah people! Here is Matts playbill picture! So next time I go on a 5 day vacation....I will not forget my camera!

Just a few favorite pics.

This song, "You're gonna miss this" by Trace Adkins is one of my favorites. Now that I have a playlist and put this song on it, I got all motherly and decided to post some pictures. I get all teary eyed when I hear this song. I know that I will miss these years, for they are short and life is too busy! I need to remember to find Joy in this Journey and cherish it.

Marathon Baby

So I gave into peerpressure and joined the blogging world. I figured that this is a great way to keep in touch with family and friends and let ya'll know what we as the Olsen Clan have been up to. On Sat. Oct. 4th, we ran the St. George Marathon. It rained till about mile 20 to 22. It was cold and wet. We did not train in the rain and we were not ready for the rain. For 32 years of St. George Marathons this was only the 2nd time that it rained. Dispite all of the rain and cold we ran in in 5:14:42. We trained for a 5 hour run, so we were very pleased with ourselves and yes we want to run it again.
