Las Cruces!

Our visit to Las Cruces, NM was so wonderful. It was so good to see Tami, Jeremy and theeir family again. We don't get to see them that often, he is in the Air Force and the move every 2.5 years or so. We missed the best opportunity to visit them when they lived in China, but money and such limited us. They are moving to AL in the summer so we took advantage of them while they are some what close. And yes we drove there. It took us 3 days to get there, granted we stopped and visited other family members on the way to and fro. So we took longer to get there then what really we should have, but it was fun to see cousins and friends that we have not seen in years. The boys did amazing! Grandma Gwen was traveling with us and what a life saver! She read them books, gave them treats, helped them color, watched movies with them and sang songs with them. She made the trip so much easier.
While we were done in Las Cruces we went to few different "hot" spots. They weren't really hot, but they were amazing. We went to White Sands National Park which is NM version of snow. It is white sand (hence the name) that you can sled down and play in just like real snow. The kids, big and little had way too much fun. We also went to Carlsbad Caverns which is the most amazing thing that I have seen in a long time. It a a huge cave that puts Timpanogas Caves to shame, (those are amazing yes but, ) Carlsbad could fit Timp in just one of its smallest room. It is huge down in that cave, it takes an hour to hike down there, then another hour wo tour the big room! I will never forget how ahh struck I was. This cave during certain months of the year has bats there, how amazing would it have been to see the bats flying out of the cave.
We also ate at a local Mexican resturant and did some shopping and had way too much fun. Not to mention we got to play outside, go on walks/runs, bike rides and bbq! Love it! The kids were not ready to come home, they loved playing with their cousins and now miss them terribly!

Run Tyson Run!

So this is my other twin nephew. He is the twin of the basketball player that I posted about a few post ago. This past saturday we got to go watch him kick some high school tushy in the BYU Invatational. He was in the 6th heat for the mile and started out in the middle of the pack...but with in the first turn he was 4th and then every lap he pasted a runner and then the last lap he pasted the last runner and that runner had no way of catching him. He pulled away leaving nothing but indoor track dust. He finished his mile in a time of 4:38...ya he won. He took 1st place of all the other runners! How awesome is that! It was awesome to go watch him run. I am very excited that he is only a junior for there will be alot more races to watch! Way to go Tys!!!1

2nd time around!!!!

So apparently Shad decided that his first stitches weren't good enough so he wanted to try for another round. He was outside yesterday playing at the neighbors house, when I heard him crying. I go running outside and the neighbor girl is walking him home with blood running down his face and a gash on his cheekbone. He slipped on some ice and hios face oboviuosly took the fall for him. My first thought was, "Why couldn't this have been a few weeks ago when we had our deductable met?!" Then I thought,"His scar from his last one in Dec. hasn't even healed completely yet!" So Dave and I yet again made that trip to see the our Doc. who was on call last night! (lucky for us) This time he only got 2 stitches, but it is swollen and black and blue.

This picture was right after I cleaned it out.

Not for the faint of heart! This was at the Doctors when I put the numbing stuff on it.

Right after stitches...he was a sweaty little boy from criing. He did do better than he did that last time...and so did daddy. Dave didn't hold him, he played on his phone, the nurse and I did. Which was nice because we made it so he could see me the whole time.

These 2 pictures are as of this morning. He still is too cute though!"Howdy Partner" is what he told me right before I took it!

So hopefully this will be our last for a while, but I am afraid not becuase things tend to come in 3's!

Back to the land of the cold!

Yeah! We are back from our vacation and I am finally getting around to posting, taking down Christmas stuff and getting back in to the real world again among other things. The below posts are from Christmas. (Pictures from Las Cruces will have to be later.) I don't have any New Year pictures, but we had a fun New Years with my brother and his wife and kids. The kids watched movies in our bedroom, we watched Iron Man in our front room and ate way too much food and yes we watched the ball drop from the comfort of our bed. My brother left around 11:30, our kids were asleep so we went to bed. Daves sister also stopped by and we had a great visit her and her friend.
It was great holiday and Lances is praying at night the Christmas will come agian soon!

Christmas Day!

The kids had way too much fun Christmas morning. First they had to inspect everything that Santa brought. Lance was way to excited when he saw that Santa brought him 'Rocket' from 'Little Einsteins'. That is all he wanted and Shad was over whelmed with the massive Mr. Potatoe head that was given to him. They both recieved a playhouse together that is as we call it "our guest house" it is huge. Don't know where Santa thought we are going to put it. They also received "Cars" cars. light sabers, animals, dinosaurs, race car, race track, books, clothes and way too much of other stuff. (not all fom Santa of course) Mommie and Daddy also had alot of fun opening presents.

Christmas morning in their jammies waiting to see the load from Santa (the big boys) were too big to get in line and take a picture....they are 17 + of age.

The load from Santa.

Daddy and his wheel for the Wii! Very happy!
The boys opening eachothers gifts.

Mommie opening up what looked like to be a box of cookies...but with later inspection it turned out to be lotion from V.S.
Christmas Chruch clothes...too cute! I love these boys *sigh*The mother load!

Christmas Eve!

For Christmas Eve and Christmas morn we were up to my sisters house. She has 6 (of her 8 kids) at home so we decided that while our kids are still young and and we can hide the presents easy, we decided to travel instead of staying home. There will be many years of Christmas at home. But we had a lot of fun. These are pictures of our Christmas Eve gingerbread decor -OFF! The girls against the boys! They had way to much fun!

Can you guess what side Shad did?

The Girls! My neices Allie and Nat-Nat with their beautiful gingerbread house.
The boys! Lance, Shad and nephew Brayden with their gingerbread house.

Better late than never...

And mine will be even later! It will take me a little longer to upload Christmas/Holiday pictures and text.

Why you might ask, the answer my dear friends is because I am in Las Cruces, NM. Yes that is right we made the long drive with our 2 kids, and Daves mom (life saver) to visit Daves sister, (and I forgot our camera cord to upload pictures to the comp NE ways!). I am so excited to be down here. I have never been any where east of Evanston, WY , so I am excited to see the Eastern life, wait it is Western life down here.

So yes, posts will be sometime next week...if any of ya care!

Hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas Holiday and Happy New Year!
